UTV Ireland were popping the champagne last week as it had emerged entertainment news show The Pulse beat rival Xpose in the ratings.
The showbiz series hosted by Jenny Buckley is a new half hour addition to the station and it looks like the show could be giving their TV3 competition a run for their money.
In figures seen by Goss.ie, last week's episode of The Pulse drew in a very impressive 116,000 viewers.

Meanwhile, Xpose's Friday episode reached less than half that, notching up 50,000 viewers.
